comepack starts its first LoRaWan container cycle inside the SERVICE Center in Mending (Germany), equipping it with LoRaWAN gateways.
Mendings SERVICE CENTER already has a comprehensive RFID infrastructure, including gates, linking gates, and the most recent mobile scanners. The step towards LoRaWAN paves the way for a new, better digital container management.
To move towards an even more sustainable container management, all load carriers within the chosen container pool were armed with active LoRa trackers. The units provided by our partner SenseIng have built-in modules and sensors for location, temperature, air pressure, and humidity.
The LoRaWAN gateways receive data transmitted by the trackers, which, in the near future, will be processed by comepacks container management software on multiple dashboards. Among others, the movement data increase planning security and quality within the supply chain.
