The yearly GDP and HACCP recertification process, performed by DEKRA, took place in March 2022 in comepack’s service center in Bernburg (Germany).
Bernburg specializes in container cleaning for Pharma & Biotech. Aside from this, the branch also offers automated aluminum- and plastic pallet cleaning.
comepack checks all boxes for the fifth time, receiving both certifications. Due to the pandemic, the audit was once again performed virtually. Since its initial introduction in 2018, the procedure has been performed in the required rhythm.
Why the GDP certification is vital?
The GDP (Good Distribution Practices) certification is an internationally accepted standard. Its guidelines were developed by the European Commission in the year 2013 and serve as counterfeit protection and monitoring measures for distribution chains and ensure the adherence to drug quality standards.
What is HACCP?
HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is a systematic approach for maximum food product safety. The strategy is based on the international guidelines of the CAC (Codex Alimentarius Commission). The HACCP concept includes a risk analysis and a review of critical control points, as well as food safety control for consumer protection.
